Kara Lowrie

Owner & President

Kara Lowrie understands the contribution small businesses provide to the American economy. Lowrie stands in Northwest Louisiana as a strong advocate of small business issues, regulatory business reform and the advancement of stronger ethics in mortgage lending.

Through her business, Acadiana Mortgage of Louisiana, Inc., Lowrie has shown the creditability needed to address regulations on small business. As owner of the company, Lowrie has a long history of dealing with regulatory compliance of local, state and federal agencies. Since beginning the company in 1998, she has received No-Findings Audits from both the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Louisiana Office of Financial Institutions, which is a rare accomplishment.

In efforts to educate citizens, Lowrie has instructed a number of credit and home ownership courses while continuing to advocate for the belief that government must continue to support the availability of credit to stabilize the economy and fuel economic growth.

Lowrie has been in the Mortgage Industry since 1991 and has long been an active leader in local chambers, realtor and service organizations.

She currently serves on the boards of Bossier Chamber of Commerce in the position of Chair Elect, as well as the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, the Northwest Louisiana Home Builders Association, the Bossier Council on Aging, and the Bossier Rotary Club (Past Secretary & Past Treasurer).

Mrs. Lowrie is extremely active in raising funds for Local Community Fundraising Events such as the Northwest Louisiana Home Builder's Association House for Hope, Rotary Dragon Boat Race, Women's Council of Realtors - Volunteer's of America, Northwest Louisiana Food Bank, & Biker's Against Child Abuse, Volunteer’s for Youth Justice – Dancing With Our Stars, Bossier Rotary Johnny Wyatt Memorial Duck Race, Board of Realtors - Habitat for Humanity, Board of Realtors – Dancing with Our Stars.

Lowrie, a lifetime resident of northwest Louisiana, and her husband, Duke, live in Benton, Louisiana with their three children – Alexis and Alexander (4 year old twins) and Sydni (7). Her hobbies include spending time with family, fishing, driving Nascar Cup Cars, remodeling, and hunting and working.
